Award winning hairstylist and hair guru to the stars, Dionne Smith, has teamed up with MiNK London makeup school to run a one-day Beginners Hairstyling course. 

Dionne Smith has been in the Industry for over 15 years and has an impressive CV to boot. Her work features regularly in Black Beauty & Hair Magazine, Black Hair Magazine, Flavour Magazine, Hairflair Magazine, Hair Magazine and Sophisticate’s Black Hair Magazine to name but a few.

She has worked her magic on the likes of Naomi Campbell, Chanel Iman, Cher Lloyd, Lara Stone and Sonia Rykiel; worked on fashion campaigns for H&M, Matthew Williamson, House of Dereon (Beyonce), Amanda Wakeley and Berardi and is “THE” stylist for Sleek Hair Company, styling for there campaigns, billboards, packaging and advertising materials. Her awards include the coveted Sleek Weave Wizard and Braid Stylist Of The Year!

Education & artistic approach have always being the foundation of her passion. “I Eat Sleep & dream Hair” says Dionne, and she aims to share her creativity with the lucky students that book a space on what will be a very popular course.

The Beginner’s Hairstyling course has been designed for people with little or not hairstyling experience and is suitable for students with a general interest in styling or for makeup artists who wish to add to their existing skill set. 

On completion, students will have an understanding of hair types and products; and will be able to create up-dos, bridal buns, big hair and Avant-garde catwalk looks.

This knowledge will enable you to support a senior session stylist, offer simple hairstyling to your makeup service i.e. you will be able to offer your clients an all-in-one service meaning more money for you and the likelihood of getting the job over other makeup artists; create stunning hairstyles on you and your friends.
